We are looking for a Demand Planner to join our Foods and Refreshment team in Helsinki Head Office. You will be working in an energetic team with brands such as Knorr, Hellmann’s, Turun Sinappia, Ingman and Ben & Jerry’s.

As Unilever’s Demand planner you will be responsible for a portfolio’s demand forecast and supply process from our sourcing units.

You are expected to work closely together with the sales function to build an integrated volume plan, analyze and understand underlying changes in the forecasts and to manage short-term requests from the business. You will manage supply risks by having a close cooperation with sourcing units and Unilever Europe B.V., and ensure that the business is informed of any potential supply risk. Since you collaborate with different stakeholders and functions you need to have good communication and influencing skills. We appreciate that you are self-motivated, work independently, and have the excitement and passion for making improvements.


Key responsibilities

  • Deliver integrated volume plan (0-24 months rolling) for your portfolio
  • Highlight changes and gaps in the demand plan towards the sales function
  • Understand past and future assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Understand and apply statistical models, depending on historical patterns and horizons using exception-based planning
  • SC business partner to sales, marketing and other functions
  • Report, analyze, understand and deliver KPI´s (Volume Bias, Volume Accuracy, Product availability, Stock cover optimization)
  • Manage short term demand requests and problem solving
  • Translate potential supply risks and ensure clear communication to internal and external customers
  • Manage Master Data for the local portfolio
  • Drive the Supply Chain responsibility in the innovation process

  • University degree in Economics or Engineering preferably within Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Interest towards Supply Chain
  • Strong analytical skills
  • You take challenges head-on, and have ownership of your area of responsibilities
  • Communications and influencing skills both in Finnish and English
  • An ability to work outside your comfort zone and tolerate pressure and quickly adapt to changes
