The Demand Planning team is a part of the Nordic Supply Chain team, which is based at our Nordic head office in Ørestaden, Copenhagen. You will report into the Nordic Demand Planning manager and your location will be in Espoo, Finland.
On a daily basis, interaction with key stakeholders will play an important role for you to succeed as a Demand Planner for the Finnish market. The role is responsible for managing forecast accuracy on all product categories, campaign monitoring, KPI reporting etc. and to achieve a successfully plan close collaboration both the Commercial team and internal in Supply chain will be vital. The Commercial Department consist of Field Sales, Key Account Managers, Customer Development, Category and Channel Sales Development Managers and Key Account Management support.
Your future responsibilities
You will be an important part of the Nordic demand planning team, which consist of four Demand Planners; one in each Nordic country. Your responsibilities will be:
- analyze historical sale and create a 18 month rolling demand plan
- highlight gap and opportunities versus the plan
- manage phase in / phase out for new product introductions or new contracts
- assist in managing promotional activities as well as product supersession activities as it relates to forecast and inventory management
- update forecast in the system for short and long-term planning horizons
- manage the Monthly Business Plan process within their portfolio
- provide KPI data related to this process for the business
- Participate and present demand figures in Monthly Sales Review & Market Gap Reviews
You will co-lead the forecast planning decisions along with important internal stakeholders such as the Business Controller, Key Account Managers and Marketing Managers.
You will collaborate with Marketing and Sales by providing input on a regular basis through processes regarding product launches, portfolio optimization, and rationale of commercial decisions, promotions and customer behavior.
Your talent and drive
You have minimum 2 years professional experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Planner or similar – preferably from the FMCG industry. You have a relevant educational background e.g. Supply Chain Management.
You are a self-starter and have the ability to build a strong network easily as you will have many internal stakeholders that can have different opinions – experience working in a matrix organization will be a benefit. Key competences to be successful in this role will be a person with strong analytical skills and a strong penetration ability to secure buy-in for suggested changes to forecast etc. You are a strong communicator, have a remarkable memory, and are service minded and capable of planning and prioritizing your tasks in a busy environment. You are proactive and work as well in teams as well as independently.
Knowledge of Finnish language is an advantage, but not a must as the company language is English.
