SSAB Global Business Intelligence team is seeking a hands-on person to fill the newly created data innovation scientist role. In this role you have plenty of time to grow but in the long run you are expected to infuse basic data science understanding into our BI-team and facilitate an external ML-partner network. In addition you are expected create technical and social foundations to continuous machine learning work together with our architect. In other words, define and create elements to enable SSAB wide predictive analytics.

Although this is a highly theoretical work role, you need to have a desire to understand business needs and be able to transform those to specifications of your work. You also need to be able to communicate in an understandable way of the results of your models back to business functions.

Suitable university level major/doctoral degrees include knowledge management, statistics, optimization, industrial economics, computer science, computational big data, data science, machine learning etc. The name of the degree is not important, but it should be interdisciplinary combining strong mathematical studies from suitable areas and computer or knowledge studies.
