Data Engineer

We are looking for Data Engineer to Data & Digital channels unit to our main office in Helsinki. At this role you will work as a member of Posti’s centralized data domain team.

What you will do?

We develop and maintain novel ways of utilizing Posti’s data for better decision making, better customer experience, and industry-leading efficiency. In this role, you will be maintaining and developing a huge Azure Synapse data & analytics platform. Work includes maintaining and developing data integrations and data models, working closely with the business clients and improving our internal processes to free our hands to the important stuff.

Is this you?

• Passionate for learning and challenging yourself

• You have some experience in developing data & analytics solutions

• Some background of data modelling, ELT/ETL, SQL and Python.

• Have worked with cloud data platforms and tools like Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, Power BI or some other similar tool on other cloud platforms

• Ability to communicate fluently in different levels of organization

• Fluent verbal and written Finnish and English 

• Preferably but not obligatory a master’s degree in economics, industrial engineering, computer science or similar

Succeeding in this position requires you to be good at structuring and scheduling your own work. You like to interact with business users, stakeholders, and teammates. You like to jump in at the deep end and challenge yourself to continue developing as a data engineering professional. We appreciate experience from the subject but more we value the drive and passion for learning and delivering.
