As an AWS Data Engineer you are working with AWS-based analytics and data lake solutions. You participate in deciding how we build our data pipelines, data integrations and cloud infrastructure. Besides this, you develop tools and services for our data scientists who use the analytics platform to create machine learning models. You’ll be working in a team, which is responsible for the group-wide cloud data lake and has the ownership of the analytics platform. As you and your team are the top professionals you will have the freedom to tackle ambitious development tasks the best way you choose.
What we hope from you?
Technology-wise you have strong knowledge of Python, Spark, SQL and AWS analytics services. You have experience in data integrations and data pipelines. If you have worked with Databricks in the near past – even better! And if you have AWS certificates or you have used BI tools (such as PowerBI), please let us know. You don’t have to excel everything from the day one, as learning while and by doing and eagerness to learn are profound elements of our culture here in OP. And as stated above, you are not alone – your team and colleagues are here to help you.
We use agile methods in our daily work, so we hope that you are familiar with those or you have an agile mindset! Your way of working is goal-oriented and analytical; you are good at prioritizing tasks and solution-oriented. Thanks to your communicational and cooperation skills, you have a way to motivate others to participate and create new solutions together! In work-related matters you communicate fluently in English. Finnish skills are seen as an advantage, but not mandatory.
