Are you interested in becoming a Data Analyst for improving business processes at Neste?

We are looking for a

Data Analyst

with focus on Business Process Analytics. You have Computer Science or Software Engineering background and you are looking for an opportunity to dive into implementing statistical models on real business data and see how data science can make an impact on business processes along with Continual Improvement. 

Your part in Neste’s journey

For supporting business processes at Neste we have developed Advanced Analytics platform with Real time analytics in place with data from multiple sources and we continue to extend our capabilities to Predictive Analytics, Text mining, Machine Learning and RPA. We are working with both on prem and on cloud technologies, so this is your chance to be part of a team that uses the latest technology stack. You will be working in our Business Process Analytics team at Business Process Leadership Center of Excellence (BPL CoE) located in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

You are determined to achieve concrete results and driven by business value creation via the business process analytics that you implement or provide as a service to various process stakeholders. Active collaboration is your virtue and excellent team player attitude is something you possess. You appreciate complex challenges and opportunities to work with different business processes, value chains and business line organizations.

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:

  • Hands-on experience of data modeling with large data sets, relational data modeling, dimensional data modelling etc
  • In-depth knowledge of Relational databases like Oracle, MySQL as well In-Memory databases like HANA and interest in Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Knowledge in statistical or mathematical models that are widely used in predictive analysis
  • Programming skills in SQL, R or Python
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, as the related stakeholder networks are international by their nature 

We also highly value

  • Existing skills and competencies related to any ETL tool like Informatica, Pentaho etc.
  • Relevant work experience as a data analyst or similar position

The recruitment process includes interviews and aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminary scheduled to take place on week 40.
