We are actively renewing the customer support & warranty organization to exceed our customers’ expectations and improve the internal operative workload and communication.

We are looking for a Customer Support Manager at ABB Oy, Marine & Ports unit in Helsinki. In this position you will be part of the Customer Support Team in Finland with a global customer base.

Your responsibilities

  • Case owner of projects in warranty phase, which typically include electrical propulsion, power generation & distribution, vessel automation, and control systems.
  • Managing customer warranty issues for comprehensive projects together with in-house technical support, service organization and production plans
  • Acting as first contact point for customers and local service units.
  • Coordinating emergency support
  • Coordinating operation critical and warranty cases for newbuilding projects, aftermarket modernizations and service calls.
  • Some travelling is included in the position, to meet customers and subcontractors
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field
  • Proven technical competence in automation, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience in project management, service or shipping business
  • Experience working in the customer interface
  • A systematic and independent way of working
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication and personal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Finnish
  • Ability to work in a multicultural business environment, in addition to patient, thorough and efficient way of working
  • A sense of urgency and ability to motivate partners to resolve warranty commitments quickly and cost-efficiently
  • Other language skills, e.g. Russian, German is seen as an advantage
  • MS Office skills is seen as an advantage
