Credit Risk Manager

We are now looking for a Credit Risk Manager to join UPM Customer Operations in Finance.

Your role and responsibilities

The position holder is accountable for day-to-day operations in Credit Risk Management and driving best practices in credit risk processes.

Your main tasks are:

• Being responsible for credit risk assessment of designated customer portfolios
• Driving customer risk profile quality to reduce credit risks together with sales and other stakeholders
• Delivering timely and high-quality reporting for business areas and credit insurers
• Coaching analysts to improve the credit risk management process within UPM
• Negotiating escalated risk and collection cases
• Participate in credit limit negotiations and customer interviews with credit insurers
• Participate in credit process development and continuous improvement activities together with other customer operations in finance, finance & control and business teams

Qualifications of the talent we are looking for

• Master’s degree in economics and business administration or similar education
• More than 3-5 years of relevant experience in international credit risk management
• Strong analytical capabilities, solid understanding of financial analysis and good understanding in different market and business specific requirements
• In-depth knowledge and experience credit scoring systems and processes
• Excellent collaboration, influencing and team working skills with capability to understand and lead complex processes
• Considerable experience with customer negotiations
• Fluency in English and experience from international business environment

The position is located in Helsinki, Finland and the position holder will report to Jarno Saario, Director, Credit Risk Management, Finance & Control.
