Cost Estimation Engineer

The Wood Handling Technology Unit (WHL TU) develops, sells and delivers Woodhandling lines and equipment to global pulp and paper customers.

We are looking for a Cost Estimation Engineer to Woodhandling sales team in Ulvila, Finland.

Your primary task is cost calculation of the sales project costs at the sales phase. Also, validity of the costs is under your responsibility, therefore collection of accurate cost information from internal and external sources as well as maintaining and continuous further development of cost estimation tools are essential part of the work.

Cost Estimation Engineer works in close co-operation with the own sales team, but also with other internal and external stakeholders’ and participates customer negotiations when needed. At the project execution phase, you create budget for the execution project, based on the sales phase costs.


You should have suitable technical and/or commercial educational background. With your good communication and interpersonal skills you are be able to build and keep up good relationships with the clients. It’s essential to have fluent English skills, both written and spoken. Naturally, you will be willing to travel from time to time.

You have a proactive working style, but you also like to work with other people as a part of a team. Your ambition to succeed is on a high level and you can work and make decisions effectively also under pressure. We expect customer driven approach and skills of using sales/cost estimation related IT and MS Office applications.

You are driven by numbers, enjoy working with numerical data and have a general understanding of the long-term perspective of your actions. If you are systematic and accurate person with good technical and commercial understanding you may be the person we are looking for.
