Sioen Industries is seeking for a commercially minded Controller to focus on the management reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the group’s two subdivisions in Finland, Sioen Ballistics Oy and Ursuit Oy.

As a Controller for Sioen you will support the management teams both locally and at Group level, being responsible for the controlling activities of the Apparel Division in Finland and Estonia. You will be based in Helsinki or Turku, with regular commute between the two cities, along with monthly travel to Estonia (when current regulations permit). You report hierarchically to the Group Controller in Belgian HQ, and functionally to the CEOs of the two local divisions. In this varied role you will be part of an international team of controllers, while working in close collaboration with your local colleagues. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Monthly reporting on the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Analyzing and reporting sales, cost prices and margins
- Following the production output data relating to volume, yield, waste etc.
- Analyzing investment proposals and calculating the return on investment
- Annual budgeting and forecasting
- Having a close involvement in a wide range of financial and organizational projects
- Assisting in the further development of the internal control system
- Acting as a sparring partner and offering strong support to the division managers with regards to financial reporting
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a strong business acumen and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in controlling and/or audit. You should be degree educated, preferably in finance or economics, and experience from a global company would be appreciated, however not necessary. Fluency in Finnish and English are mandatory, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. SAP skills would be an advantage. You should be able to present reports and figures in a clear, concise and transparent way, and have a strong analytical and organizational insight. Additionally, you ought to be flexible and work accurately under pressure. As a person you are an active self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional / cross-country environment, and have strong communication and team-working skills. You are not afraid of new challenges and have a positive, enthusiastic and flexible mindset.
