We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our Global Customer Support Division’s Technical Support and Engineering – Thrusters team at Kongsberg Maritime Finland OY. As a Control Systems Engineer your main duties include upgrade designing of thruster control systems and condition monitoring systems related designing. In your role you will be supporting and working in close co-operation with customer support and spare parts sales team, thus good collaboration and communication skills are a key. We wish you to show initiative, be able to produce technical documentation and have previous experience in designing automation and electrical systems.
We are able to adjust the role to meet your previous experience, hence encourage also those, who do not meet all preferred qualifications to apply!
Accountabilities
Upgrade designing of thruster control systems
Condition monitoring systems related designing
Producing technical documentation
Support in developing future/next generation control systems
Support for spare parts sales team and global customer support
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in automation and/or electrical engineering
Knowledge and understanding of closed loop systems, and other electrical systems involving CPUs, hydraulic pump starters, frequency converters and electromechanical equipment
Previous experience in designing automation and electrical systems
Previous experience with AutoCAD and Teamcenter is considered as an advantage
Knowledge of control systems rules and regulations in maritime industry is an advantage
Good spoken and written English skills, Finnish language skill is an advantage
