The Wood and Pulp Handling Business Unit designs and delivers wood handling systems and pulp drying lines for pulp and energy producers worldwide. The variety of projects is large, starting from deliveries of new plants to rebuilds of existing lines. Valmet’s scope can be as complex as the delivery of complete lines on a turnkey basis to the single supply of a Valmet equipment.
We are looking for Construction Planner (12 months temporary position) to our Pulp Drying Technology Unit in Ulvila.
As Construction Planner, you will be responsible for planning the execution phase of a delivery project, integrating resource planning and risk management together with different disciplines participating in the project. In most cases, your role in projects starts already in sales phase and continues to final acceptance.
You will be integral in monitoring and reporting the progress of works, ensuring the quality of the installation and meeting cost and schedule targets. You will be working together with the Pulp Drying Department's project execution, engineering, procurement, logistics and site supervision teams. Also, an important duty is to support the Manager, Site Operations with construction management tasks and site resourcing needs.
You have suitable degree in Engineering as well as experience in scheduling and planning or cost estimating during execution phase at erection site, pulp and / or energy process design engineering or manufacturing are strongly appreciated. You can provide key construction input to the design and procurement teams and familiar with all the background processes required to ensure success on the construction site. You communicate fluently in English both spoken and in writing.
By character you are active and cooperative. You can understand and assess the total project schedule which includes many different players as well as identify schedule risks ahead of time. This position requires readiness to travel.
