We are now looking for
to work in our Clients project. The project starts in summer 2021 and lasts at least 2 years. This project is situated in Pyhäjoki, Finland.
Your task is to take the overall responsibility for the construction performance. You are monitoring the construction portfolio performance related to financial performance, claims, timelines and risk & opportunity management and initiating corrective actions as required by the Project managers. You will ensure civil and mechanical construction scope across the portfolio in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You coordinate with the operations manager and oversee the construction strategy, team development, and standardize process development to continually improve effectiveness in execution.
One of your responsibilities is also to support tendering activities with construction input, ensuring that tenders have a clear, optimized and realistic construction execution strategy, sourcing strategy and the correct costing and risk & contingency provisions are being used.
Your key areas of responsibility will be:
Construction execution strategies, construction financial performance, timeliness of construction deliveries, customer/sub-contractor interface and world class safety and integrity performance.
Leading a team of 10+ members
To build and maintain relationships with key internal (SCM, Engineering, Project Management, Tendering, Field Operations) and external (Client, Civil & Mechanical Subcontractors) stakeholders. Reporting Lines to the Operations Manager SE.
To support the Supply Chain function to ensure the best sub-contractor portfolio is selected, to provide services and lowest total cost for our customer.
To facilitate the coordination with the electrical engineering Function to ensure high quality and timely engineering deliveries with civil and mechanical interfaces. Ensure tools and processes and for civil and mechanical engineering are adequate skills and capacities in the project office.
Set the strategy for civil design (i.e. in house, external offices, or consultants) on project by project or long term.
We expect you to have:
Bachelors or Masters degree (Civil Engineering, Project Management)
10 -15 years’ of work experience in EPC Project Management/Construction preferably Power Substations business
You have executed at least 1 EPC complex project (50 - 100 MUSD+) as PM or Civil PM
Experience as a line manager in a multicultural environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Swedish (Native)
Experience in Process Management and IS application technology
