This position combines a critical role of librarian and technical focal point of component engineering to the sourcing, project managers and design groups for alternate low cost, high quality components.
The majority of this position will be to create ECAD/PCB/EDA library elements (symbols, footprints, and 3D models) we create in product development projects. The librarian role will create and maintain required data in ECAD library and in PDM. The component engineering role includes selecting, qualifying, approving, and documenting purchased components and direct material required to produce a product. You will be supporting design engineering, project management and purchasing in identifying, sourcing and the implementation of new/alternative components without compromising quality at a total cost savings.
