Granlund Data Center business unit is the leading data center consultant, designer and commissioning expert in the Nordic region. Due to our continuous growth and business development, we are now looking for a Building Technology Commissioning Manager (CxM) to join our team, focusing on data centers and other technically demanding facilities.

As our Commissioning manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead the commissioning program through the testing phase. You will coordinate and report on commissioning activities and progress with the Project Team during the acceptance phase.

You will be supported by a Commissioning Agent (CxA) team, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and controls experts, to create a comprehensive testing plan and detailed scripts. You will manage and oversee the commissioning activities conducted by the CxA team. CxA team includes Electrical Lead, Mechanical Lead, Building Management System (BMS) Lead and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) Lead and commissioning engineers.

You will also work closely with the end client, designers and contractors. In this role, you won’t have supervisory responsibilities, allowing you to focus on leading the project and on your spesialised tasks.

The data center field is global and growing business segment. These environments are highly technology-driven and fault-tolerant environments, offering extremely interesting opportunities. Our clients and projects are often international, with work conducted in Finland and other Nordic countries. Beyond data centers, we anticipate a demand for similar professional commissioning services in other client segments as well.

The team meets regularly at the Helsinki headquarters. Project-based travel is required during site activities, but we are flexible in adjusting project locations based on your availability.

Could you be the expert we are looking for?

We seek experienced candidates with at least five years of experience in mechanical, electrical or building automation commissioning, design or site supervision. Previous site work experience or a strong interest in it is essential. Relevant educational backgrounds include a technical M.Sc., B.Sc., or M. Eng.

While we don’t expect a perfect match, we are looking for someone eager to grow into this role over the next two years with the close support of our current team. Data center experience is not required, but experience in similar process industries or challenging projects is a plus.

A good working knowledge of English is required, and basic Finnish skills are an advantage.
