Commercial Support Engineer

We are looking for a flexible, energetic, and self-motivated Commercial Support Engineer with a customer-oriented approach to join our Commercial Team. In this role you will act as a primary technical specialist in the Commercial team (Commercial & Customer Support) and liaison with GATES Production and Engineering teams on technical matters. Main responsibilities:

• Evaluating and providing technical details & guidance for proposals and requests including:

  1. Evaluate Service Bulletin’s (SB’s) and Airworthiness Directives (AD’s)

  2. Evaluation of Configuration, borescope details, last shop visit data

• Prepare and analyze engine workscopes for engine bids and current customers

• Lead Table Inspections together with Customer Support Account Manager

• Communicate & advise customers on technical matters during & after engine shop visits

• Prepare training & presentations for the commercial team

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Jet Engine Power Plant Engineer

• Knowledge of Engine MRO business and CF6/CFM56 engines

• B.Sc. or M. SC. in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering or equivalent qualification

• Technical expert with a commercial and customer focused mindset

• Previous knowledge of IFS is considered an advantage 

• Strong knowledge and use of Excel and MS Office

• Ability to perform well under pressure

• Strong risk analysis & decision making ability

• Fluent communication skills in English

• Finnish language is considered as an advantage

• Flexibility in working hours 

• Excellent team working and organizing skills

• Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences

• Ability to travel for customer visits & tradeshows
