Valmet has a wide selection of burner products and a long tradition of high-quality boiler burners and special combustion systems for power plants, pulp mills and waste-to-energy plants. Our Environmental Systems’ Burner team is now looking for a Combustion Specialist to work in various burner projects globally.
As a Combustion Specialist you will be a member of the Burner team, but also working in close cooperation with different Valmet teams globally and directly in customer interface at customer sites globally. You have at least few years of combustion experience preferably with industrial burner systems.
Your main tasks include:
Coordinating and supporting the burner expert site resourcing
Burner related erection advisory and commissioning tasks
Troubleshooting tasks at customer sites
Technical product support to our project teams, services and end customers globally
Supporting the product development tasks
You have suitable technical education background (at least B.Sc.) for example in Energy, Combustion or Automation Technology and at least a few years working experience directly related to burner technologies. Also, understanding of combustion and process technology is a must and understanding the automation systems a true benefit. It is essential to have fluent English skills; other languages are an asset.
You are a customer-oriented person, with attitude to speak up and push your projects forward. You work systematically, can manage your time and priorities also under pressure in quickly changing situations. Naturally you are willing to travel and you have flexibility to changing conditions, as the individual assignments can last for several months at a time.
You can be an experienced combustion expert or young growing talent, but essential is your high motivation and eager to learn more.
