As our Chief Manufacturing Officer, you will manage the overall activities of our extraction factory site in Kauhajoki, Finland, with approximately 15 operators and two production managers. You are responsible for developing the manufacturing operation and processes, improving our operational planning, and ensuring the optimal execution of activities and use of resources. You will also be the lead person for the planning and development of a second greenfield manufacturing facility, coordinating the engineering efforts of external consultants.
You will oversee the manufacturing processes, prepare production plans and material requirements forecast, monitor performance, undertake recruitments, make investment proposals and coordinate with procurement responsible regarding volumes and qualities. You will manage the development of new technology implementation, automation, and scaling of capacities at our current factory. The learning curve from this work will be employed in the planning of the future green field factory. You will report to the CEO, who will support your appointment with our CFO and other managers.
We are looking for a technically competent person with extensive knowledge of the process industry, complicated manufacturing processes, quality systems, and advanced products, preferably from the food or nutrition industries. We expect you to have a relevant educational background in biochemistry, engineering, or similar, with a few years of experience in factory operations management. Excellent communication skills in English are required.
