We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a key role in our organization, strongly supporting our change and transformation journey and contributing the Leadership Team to meet our strategic and operational goals.

CFO will lead our finance, administration, compliance and IT functions and serve as its primary Finance Manager. Ideal candidate is highly motivated, pragmatic, and results-driven executive finance professional with 10+ years of experience in finance in listed company. Our CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment operations. This candidate will possess proven strategic business partnering skills with a diverse finance and/or accounting background and has supported various functions across complex, matrix organizations. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating and leading high performing teams, facilitating employee development, and championing diversity and inclusion.

This role reports directly to CEO and belongs to the Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead finance, administration, compliance and IT functions and teams
• Drive and coordinate all financial aspects with the objective to secure compliance of financial processes, systems and policies and to minimize risk exposure for the legal entity
• Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity
• Drive efficiency improvement and optimization processes within the organization by utilizing the digital solutions of today with an open mind and passion for development
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of management reporting and key performance metrics supporting stakeholders on all business reviews and decision making
• Lead and develop own teams in a world of change while actively communicating Volvo’s values and principles
• Protect the company’s revenues and profits to maintain full financial control and ensure sustainable growth
• Managing the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process
• Managing banking relationships, cash management and other treasury related activities
• Providing an oversight on tax, internal controls and audit related matters
• Act as the Local Compliance Officer

Basic Requirements

• Minimum of MBA or MSc. education in the field of economics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English, Swedish is considered as an advantage
• Proven leadership skills with a minimum of 10+ years of experience of financial team management from a listed international company
• Ability to constructively interact with others with excellent people management, people development & communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate efficient strategic and tactical decision making
• Experience and aptitude in change and transformation management
• Ability to resolve complex problems and develop new solutions
• Exhibit strong systems skills with the ability to develop and drive implementation of system and process changes
• Highly skilled in numeracy and literacy. Must have the ability to analyze and communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Must have the ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
