We are looking for an experienced and independent Chief Accountant, who will have an overall responsibility for General Ledger processing, period-end closing and adjustment procedures and financial reporting (statutory and IFRS) for the parent company. Chief Accountant cooperates closely with Group Reporting, Group Treasury and Business Transformation Project (Stella) teams. He/she also acts as a guiding person to the other team members.

Main responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Clerical day-to-day GL procedures, period-end closing, adjustments and reporting and responsible for fixed assets accounting
  • Balance Sheet and P&L both local GAAP and IFRS
  • VAT reporting
  • Annual report and tax calculations
  • Capable of running continuous improvement opportunities within all areas of responsibility 
  • Represent Chief Accountant level of knowledge in different forums and working groups, especially in Stella business transformation project
  • Act as a tutor/guide in financial accounting and reporting related topics to the other team members
  • Knowledge of Treasury related transactions and their accounting treatment both in local GAAP and IFRS


  • University degree in accounting
  • Strong practical experience in accountancy (minimum of 5 years)
  • Excellent skills in Finnish GAAP accounting and reporting rules
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS accounting and taxation 
  • Language skills: fluent in Finnish and English
  • Good practical knowledge of MS Office tools, SAP and HFM knowledge are an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate both internally and externally, as well as good teamwork skills
  • Proven track record of participation in big scale projects
  • Working experience in Financial Service Center environment is an asset
