Supercell is now looking for a Chief Accountant with love for IFRS to join their Finance Accounting team - a small powerhouse based in Supercell’s Helsinki office. As a Chief Accountant (IFRS Specialist) at Supercell you’ll get to tackle the accounting and finances of one of the world's biggest game companies by revenue. Supercell already reports its numbers in FAS and IFRS, but now they need an extra great mind to take ownership with a fresh view on their investment company accounting and revenue deferral.
As a Chief Accountant (IFRS Specialist) at Supercell you will be working closely with your colleagues from the Finance Accounting team and with various different internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities include contributing to the parent company’s accounting and revenue recognition by digging deeper to Supercell’s games’ revenue deferral accounting through game data. You will be also preparing independently Supercell’s investment company’s accounting, financial statements and tax reporting and contributing to the daily accounting transaction processing alongside your team members.
The ideal candidate for this position is an ambitious and enthusiastic IFRS expert with earlier experience from financial statements. You love debits and credits and have the passion to interpret IFRS rules in the context of mobile games. The team also values a hands on approach, proactiveness and readiness to participate in daily transactional processing. The position is based in Helsinki and you will be employed directly to Supercell.
What Supercell requires from you:
A Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Economics and knowledge about accounting standards
Earlier experience from financial statements preparation and accounting – you master debits & credits fluently (investment company accounting experience is seen as an advantage)
Knowledge in IFRS accounting and interpreting IFRS requirements
MS Excel skills
A passion for games and game industry
Fluency in Finnish and English
