Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as a Chapter Leader for the Chapter Customer Journey Developers/Content Creators.

We have implemented an agile structure, governance and way of working - a major shift in becoming even more fleet-footed and to put the customer in the center of everything we do. Our new agile governance entails driving business and people leadership separately from each other. This will allow each responsibility to be driven with full focus and independence in order to maximize benefits for business, competence and people.

All daily work in Consumer Sales Nordic is carried out in cross-functional scrum teams. Ensuring we are in the forefront in each competence area all employees will belong to a chapter i.e. center of excellence. Chapters are groups of functional competences that will share best practices and develop their expertise. A Chapter lead is the manager of all employees in the Chapter and will report to the Director of Operations. The chapter lead is an engaged people leader who has hands on understanding and skills in the competence area.

As Chapter Leader you will focus on people leadership, Consumer Sales Nordic common culture, competence development and leading the continuous development of the area as well as working as a scrum team member in one of our Scrum teams. More specifically this includes:

  • Being responsible for recruitment, people leadership, culture and competence development of the employees in the chapter to ensure we are in the forefront in the competence area.
  • Driving our performance management process.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing, knowledge building and coaching chapter members in their roles in the scrum teams.
  • Spending maximum 30% of your time as Chapter Lead and the rest of your time is spent working in a scrum team.

We are looking for a Chapter lead is are passionate about people development as well as having proven work experience in the chapter competence area. You inspire others and display thought leadership within your chapter. You have a clear vision of how and where you want to develop the competence area moving forward. Change management is something that comes natural to you and experience in agile way of working is desirable. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:

  • People leading experience.
  • Relevant education/work experience for the chapter.
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral) and Finnish language as native

Your personal characteristics:

You have strong, proven leadership skills and a passion for people and culture development. You are proactive, driven and open to change and use your strong interpersonal skills to build trustworthy relationships and effective interfaces. You have an ability to balance your role as a chapter lead with being a scrum team member delivering on operational goals. You are organized and able to set a vision and plan for your chapter. As a leader you are a role model being clear, visible and courageous.

To be successful you will have experience from the following areas:

  • Omnichannel performance and efficiency (optimizing customer experience, sales and cost to serve)
  • Service design (research and insights, ideate on solution, implement, test)
  • Marketing automation and digital marketing experience
  • Marketing communication planning and project management / execution
  • Content Marketing Management
  • Data-driven approach to creative work
