Group Services employ approximately 600 specialists in the fields of IT, law, sourcing and logistics, HR, communication, technology and finance who support Metsä Group and its business areas in the execution of its strategy.
We are looking for
Category Manager, Mechanical equipment and services
You will be responsible for leading Metsä Group wide indirect sourcing category; Mechanical equipment and services. The category consist of several sub-categories: e.g. Distributor materials, equipment’s and spare parts, lifting and conveying services, scaffolding and insulation works, lubrication oils and creases and mechanical services.
You will work as a team member of Maintenance operations sourcing category team and report to VP, Mill Sourcing and purchasing service center. The position will be primarily located in Tapiola, Espoo but working from other Metsä Group`s mill locations can be negotiated.
− Leading purchasing operations of the category and steer the use of a subcontractor network
− Strategic planning together with stakeholders (category strategies and annual execution plans)
− Category & supplier analysis
− RFX process preparation & execution
− Contract negotiations with suppliers
− Participation in contract implementation
− Supplier quality and performance management (e.g. claims management, vendor risk rating questionnaires, vendor audits)
− Close co-operation with the mills and other stakeholders
− Leading category work and category related communication in a matrix organization
− Develop and facilitate Metsä Group sourcing practices in your own category areas
− Sourcing category reporting
We are looking for a person who has experience to work in mill site environment or maintenance operations with excellent negotiation and sourcing management skills. You are familiar with purchasing processes with best practices at all levels and have relevant higher level education in Technology or Business.
You are highly determined with the desire to develop the procurement process thoroughly and comprehensively. In order to be successful in this position you need the ability to see the big picture and turn customer needs into solutions. The role does not have direct supervisor responsibility, but good leadership and interaction skills are needed, as this role relates to many businesses in your primary category. This task requires fluency in both verbal and written Finnish and English.
