Camera Test Engineer

On behalf of our client, an international software company, we are looking for a camera enthusiastic to fill the position as a Camera Test Engineer to Tampere.

In this role you will get to run camera lab testing and real-life photography with prototype camera devices. You will have a say on the look and feel of the photos created with the various devices tested and you will get to work closely with the dev teams. You will also become familiar with the state-of-the-art camera test methodologies and have a say on how they should be further developed.

Most important characteristic for an ideal candidate is a desire to work with imaging, photography, and cameras. Attention to detail, due diligence and experience with photography are all traits highly valued in this role.

Responsibilities

• Objective camera testing in camera lab
• Field testing of various camera system
• Reporting the findings
• Development of camera test setups, systems, and processes

Qualifications

• Relevant experience of working with cameras, photography, image processing or laboratory environments
• Basic understanding of camera terms and usage
• Good teamwork and people skills
• Experience of standard Office suite software: Excell, PowerPoint, etc.
• Basic understanding of camera quality metrics is a plus
