In product development projects you will perform thermal and flow simulations. Focus on simulations is thermal management in EV and industrial battery applications. In projects you will co-operate and communicate closely with internal or external customers to report simulation results and propose improvements. You will also participate to thermal testing in order to provide input data for simulations and in order to validate/correlate simulation results and models. As CAE Engineer you will report to Project Manager, Lead Mechanical Engineer and Lead Simulation Engineer.
In the field of simulation your responsibility is to actively follow trends and propose internal development directions. You develop simulation methods and best practices according to approved plan. After proper evaluation you will also take these simulation and optimization methods into use.
You have more than 5-year experience in CFD, especially in thermal and flow simulations. You have a solid background in fluid dynamics, heat transfer mechanisms and thermal design principles. You master at least one major CFD software like for example Star-CCM+ or ANSYS/Fluent. Preferably you have also some experience from ANSA or HyperMesh preprocessing tools. Any battery or automotive experience is beneficial. You understand product development process and have experience of creating a concept and developing it ready for series production.
You are able to share your technical expertise and knowledge with others and to create new solutions by innovative thinking. Good co-operative skills and can-do attitude with leadership potential will help you to succeed in future tasks. You are able to communicate clearly and precisely. You are fluent in English, Finnish and German is an asset.
We offer you a challenging position with opportunities for personal and professional growth at the forefront of the automotive and future energy storage industry.
