Business Development Director, Catering Services to our Commercial unit. 

Business Development Director, Catering Services, is a leading role within ISS Finland in developing Catering business in the country. Key purpose of the role is to actively participate in creation of Catering strategy for Finland and translate it to winning catering deals and to deliver top-line growth for catering sales. The Business Development Director will take a leading role in targeting new customers, generating leads, designing compelling customer centric solutions and pricing to close the deals. Your work in a close cooperation with other people in the commercial unit and key account organizations. The role is reporting to the Head of Solution Sales in Finland.

Key tasks and responsibilities in this role are

  • Define, develop and deliver a strategy for growth in Catering Sales in Finland in close cooperation with Country Commercial Director and Country Segment Directors
  • Actively generate new leads in line with targeted segments
  • Manage and engage in customer facing activities to engage prioritized new leads, understand the customer’s needs, communicate the ISS value proposition and deliver a conceptual proposal and service delivery design
  • Manage bid processes and make sure the right team of experts are mobilized to deliver the bid
  • Support the Segment Directors and Key Account Managers in contract renewal and initiatives to enable high retention in Catering business
  • Act as s catering support in cases where Catering is part of a multiservice solution
  • Actively drive development of solution innovation in the area of catering and take ownership of producing world class value argumentation and material.

 Experience and background that we are looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in catering business and in sales
  • Master’s degree or similar educational background
  • Experience working with client and C-suite stakeholders to
    establish trusted advisor relationships
  • Ability to work across all levels in client organizations and establish credibility
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional teams to deliver winning deals
  • Proven track record of influencing client decision making and winning business
  • Strong on managing large complex bid responses
  • Analytical mindset, change-ready nature and high influencing skills
  • High working capacity, contact/communication skills and empathy.

 As a Business Development Director, Catering Services you should also be

  • A commercially orientated person, who is attracted to a results-focused and goal-orientated culture
  • Fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English, Swedish considered to be an advantage
  • Owner of commercial instinct and proven problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude
  • Able to convince others and promote one´s own agenda forward even in challenging and changing business environments
  • Able to handle collaboration and build one solution for customer
  • Able to effectively organize your own work as well as others’, both people and things, project management
  • Able to work independently and to be results-driven, with an entrepreneurial mind set
  • Good in communication and to have strong social skills
