Business Controller

We are now looking for someone to join our finance team as Business Controller.


Your responsibilities

Your tasks will be (non-exhaustive):

  • Business analysis: responsible of weekly and monthly sales KPIs. These KPI’s per sales channel are essential for the follow-up of Sales performance and to take the right actions / decisions
  • Participation to yearly budget, 3 years plan & current year estimates preparation
  • Customer Care support: on regular basis, you will have to answer clients’ and internal requests related to Finance & activity
  • Treasury: cash-in / cash-out follow-up, forecast of international cash movements (Group cash pooling). Treasury flows are significant in our business
  • Additionally, you will be involved in ad-hoc analysis needed by the Chief Financial Officer related to financial reporting, costs analysis & internal control processes

Required skills and profile

Preferably, you have worked 2 to 3 years in a similar function, such as junior controller or with experience in external audit willing to join an international organization. You have studied in a Business School or University in Economics.

What you ideally have:

  • Excellent analytical skills and reliability
  • Accounting & Finance expertise
  • Very strong proficiency on Excel, experience with Business Intelligence software seen beneficial
  • Fluent in English and Finnish (working languages)
  • Autonomous way of working, with high standard of quality
  • Open-minded, flexible, energetic and proactive team player attitude, willing to learn, help and support other team members

Your key stakeholders will be the other Controllers of the team, your direct report the CFO, externalized Accounting Team, Sales Managers and Sales Director. You will also work closely with other departments: IT, Operations, Customer Care and HR.

In this role, you are expected to take the initiative, have a will to develop and pro-actively find new ideas to make sure that Edenred’s business objectives and customer satisfaction are fulfilled.


The team

You will be part of a small, dynamic and international financial team (5 team members with 3 different nationalities + externalized accounting), dealing with all possible financial topics occurring in a company (accounting, treasury, planning & budget, business control, internal control, etc.).

In Finland, we serve more than 15 000 business customers and roughly 300 000 employees use our products. We are a good size of 65 people, which is small enough to know all the faces in the office. At the same time, the support of Edenred Group enables us to provide things like ApplePay and GooglePay to our customers, and to make investments to stay at the forefront of changes in the Fintech sector.

We established a strong growth strategy for the coming years in Finland, and we need to reinforce our Finance team to support our capacity to deliver proper follow-up, control and analysis of our activity.
