Join our team of Valio people! As the current position holder is rotating into a new role within Valio, we are looking for a business development orientated Business Controller to join our Finance & Strategy organization. In this position you will work as a business partner and one-point of contact for the Food business unit management in finance matters.
Business Unit Food aims to grow Valio’s non-dairy businesses organically and inorganically. Our current business is within juices, berries and jams and the new plant-based meat portfolio (Gold&Green). After a recent spin-off Oddlygood has operated independently but driving the same strategic goal. This position offers you an opportunity to be in the center of our strategy development and execution - to create something unique in Finnish food industry.
Your main responsibilities will include:
providing comprehensive financial support for the business unit including e.g. monthly profit analysis and cost forecasts as well as various profitability calculations
preparing financial outlooks and business performance forecasts in co-operation with business area management
participating in scanning and evaluating new business opportunities
preparing investment calculations and participating in footprint planning
pro-actively supporting the business unit in different stages of the Annual Planning process e.g. target setting
An ideal candidate:
has a suitable academic degree e.g. in economics or business administration
has preferably minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in similar field of responsibility area
has a pro-active, business-minded approach and way of working
is skilled in collaborating with and influencing different kinds of stakeholders also in a matrix
is comfortable with changes, has a positive can-do attitude and eagerness to learn more
has strong analytical skills and is able to draw conclusions and recommendations from the data
uses MS Office tools fluently
has experience in using modern reporting tools, such as PowerBI
knowledge of SAP (SAP FICO, SAP BPC) or similar ERP system is an advantage
