Do you want to be responsible for analysing consumer trends and competitor strategies for the biggest electricity retailer in the Nordics? We are now looking for a curious Business Analyst for our Industrial Intelligence team based in either Espoo, Stockholm, Oslo or Gdansk.
You will take part in our strategic market analysis mainly in our Consumer Solutions division related business, with a responsibility to be in the forefront of forming a holistic understanding of consumer energy markets. You will track our competitor offering ranging from traditional electricity retail to more complicated products and services, and identify emerging trends and macro-economy level variables affecting consumer behaviour. You will also keep your finger on the pulse of existing competitor strategic positioning, as well as identify and map new entrants in the diverse, fast-changing field of downstream energy. You will synthesise your analysis to an easily communicable form with clear conclusions and recommendations, which you will regularly present to key stakeholders often consisting of senior leaders.
The Industrial Intelligence team works in close co-operation with all Fortum business areas, and is highly visible and influential within Fortum, which means there is a high standard and trust in the quality of your analysis and recommendations. You will report to the Head of Industrial Intelligence, but will also be in close co-operation with various stakeholders inside the Consumer Solutions division.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a structured, focused and determined analyst with a pro-active, positive can-do attitude. You have experience preferably in strategy consulting or market/business analysis on a large consumer business sector, and have a demonstrable track record in working with wide topics and unstructured, sparse data. You also master the basic laws of economics and have a strong acumen for business metrics and drivers. Additionally, you need to have good communication and presentation skills in order to convince relevant stakeholders on the business value of your analysis.
You hold at least a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Economics, or equivalent. You are required to be fluent in English, written and spoken alike, whereas Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and/or Polish language skills are considered as clear asset.
