Your role

We are now looking for a Bid Manager with experience on turbines. You are responsible for ensuring compliance of tendering activities with the sales process. Your duties include leading a tendering team and managing tendering work for nominated sales projects, preparing and collecting the necessary technical and commercial documentation from the organisation and compiling those into a winning, high-quality quotation for the customer in a timely manner. As a Bid Manager you will also bring technical knowhow to the team, facilitate and support with sales contracts and negotiations, manage claim handling, and have an active role in internal development projects. Depending on your background and experience, the role could also expand into tasks that include more contractual work and negotiation with customers and being responsible for tendering activities for a certain market area and/or products & services independently. You will report to General Manager, Sales Support.

Your qualifications

You have an academic degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc. with strong work experience) from suitable technical or commercial education field with solid understanding of and interest in commercial aspects of international B2B sales. You combine this with at least 5 years of previous work experience from the energy sector or other manufacturing or process industries with technical knowhow of turbines and understanding of power plant processes. Knowhow related to boiler and emission control systems, and/or energy systems is seen as beneficial.

You are a person with strong social, communication and negotiation skills striving to achieve the desired results together with the tendering team under time pressure. Your orderly personality combined with a habit of working in a systematic way and curiosity has made you successful in your previous roles. You speak and write Finnish and English fluently, whereas other languages are beneficial to the role, and have a readiness to travel both within Finland and abroad.
