In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

Your challenge

  • Responsible for functional safety and reliability engineering, including preparation of battery safety concepts (FSC/TSC) and other measures required by Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 or IEC 61508
  • Process development as well as reliability analyses for complex electronic systems using tools like FMEA, FTA and FMEDA is also part of the position
  • Great and future-orientated perspective into exciting automotive and industrial development projects by daily working with various internal and external stakeholders like systems, electronics and software engineering teams
  • Responsible for decisions on engineering level to internal and external stakeholders and internal release recommendations to middle and senior management
  • Establishment of safety and reliability engineering processes within projects and company wide
  • Development (moderation and coordination) of System-FMEA & Design-FMEA & Process-FMEA
  • Requirements engineering for functional safety requirements
  • Derivation of functional subsystem and component requirements
  • Item definition (scope of development) & Impact Analysis
  • ASIL Rating and allocation to E/E Components

 

We expect you to have/are

  • Masters degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, software engineering or comparable
  • +2 years experience and deep unterstanding of li-ion battery systems
  • Expert in A-Spice processes and ISO26262
  • Knowledge of all relevant battery system components
  • Knowledge of standardization and legislation (homologation) of battery systems
  • Experience with requirements management SW (i.e. Polarion, DOORS etc)
  • Experience with German automotive OEMs
  • High degree of communication skills
  • Fluent English & German/Finnish communication skills
