As Beneq’s Automation Engineer, your principal duty is designing the software and automation for Beneq ALD equipment. Alongside project deliveries, you will support continuous development and maintenance of the current automation systems. You will get to join a team of 11 talented SW and automation professionals. The role includes occasional on-site commissioning at the customer’s premises globally.

Beneq’s modern office is located close to the metro station in Olarinluoma, Espoo, with a hybrid model of working.

Job duties

Work tasks

• Participate in the whole development cycle from specification, concept and feasibility studies, to productisation
• Develop modern software solutions
• Participate in testing activities with testing team
• Perform simulation on Beneq's automation laboratory
• Be responsible for commissioning at customer's premises
• Provide technical support for customers, sales and manufacturing

We are looking for

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., in automation)
• Proven experience (+2 years) in automation engineering
• Experience with automation instrumentation and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT or CODESYS (other PLC software knowledge also regarded relevant if familiar with structured text coding)
• Occasional readiness to travel and meet Beneq’s customers globally
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
