LUT School of Engineering Science is looking for a professor in Software Engineering, especially Modern Software Development Practices. 

Position and research field 

The position is situated at the assistant/associate levels of the tenure track system and it is filled for a four-year fixed term.

The duties of the professor include, where appropriate, basic and advanced education in the key areas of software engineering. The duties also include the promotion of research on software-related topics in LUT’s key strategic areas and in cooperation with all of LUT’s schools and with national and international partners. According to the research strategy of the LUT School of Engineering Science, advanced education emphasises method development as part of clean energy production, the circular economy, sustainable business and the establishment of spin-off companies.  The professor is expected to contribute to launching software engineering research and education at the LUT Lahti Campus.

  1. A curriculum vitae
  2. A copy of your doctoral diploma
  3. A full list of publications, including the total number of publications, citations and H-index in Google Scholar, Web of Science and Scopus, and a Scopus ID.
  4. Publications for evaluation by experts (max. 10)
  5. A separate list of the publications submitted for expert evaluation
  6. A teaching portfolio or an equivalent account of your teaching qualifications
  7. An account of your merits and activities of significance to the vacancy (max. 3 pages)
  8. An account of your vision on the development of education, research and projects in the field of the professorship in LUT University (max. 3 pages)

Trial period
