We are looking for our client Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) for a fixed term position. The ground for the fixed term contract is substitution of the recruitment process and the work will start as soon as a suitable candidate has been selected. The work will last approximately twelve months and there is a possibility to extend. 

Your responsibilities

AML

You will act as Country Anti Money Laundering Officer for Finland;
  • Assess the impact of key regulatory developments, sanctions and industry best practice on current procedures, ensuring that any necessary changes are properly implemented within the Business
  • Work with the Business and other key stakeholders to identify and mitigate the risks associated with existing and new business with emphasis on higher risk customers
  • Provide expert advice to the business on legal or regulatory requirements
  • Review and approve high risk customer KYC/due diligence and perform enhanced due diligence on targeted customers
  • Undertake AML related investigations arising from internal monitoring as well as ad hoc referrals
  • Report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities in a timely manner
  • Assist in liaising with local Regulators, Law Enforcement in connection with suspicious activity filing and/ or other regulatory requirements 
  • Conduct Controls and Checks as appropriate
Sanctions
  • Assist in identifying applicable sanctions laws and provide advice in relation to those
  • Monitor the sanctions screening processes and advise on possible matches
  • Coordinate and/ or give training on applicable sanctions regulations
  • Review and respond to sanctions related escalations and investigations
Governance
  • Attend governance meetings if so required
  • Attend regional calls / committees as required on AML related matters
Training
  • Ensure adequate AML face-to face and web-based AML trainings are properly and timely delivered to all Branch employees
  • Maintain and monitor training requirements of the staff through company's learning management system
  • Act as contact point for training team abroad.

You will succeed in this position if you have

You have a suitable educational background (Bachelor's/Master's degree in business or equivalent) and minimum 3 years' experience of AML and Compliance in fast-paced, intense, and global environment. You are generalist within AML in terms of a knowledge about regulations, high-risk customers and industry's best practice. You have strong problem-solving skills and management experience, and fluent written and verbal skills in Finnish and English.
