Analytics Engineer

Would you be our new Analytics Engineer  to join our super talented and solution focused Data Science & Analytics Engineering (DS&AE) team in Helsinki, Finland?  

Our DS&AE team is an integral part of eCommerce and delivery services (eCD) business. Our team is deeply involved in eCommerce business development and digitalization. You will have a chance to participate in interesting projects and work with extremely diverse and vast datasets. We will commit to enhancing your expertise with training, courses, and certifications. 

What you will do?
 

You will be required to support and communicate with operations and business professionals, understand requirements, and transform needs into optimized services. You need to be able to use your data and programming expertise to create algorithmic business logic. As an Analytics Engineer, you will gather data from multiple sources and prepare it for end usage, such as ML models and Power BI reports.  

  
You will be working closely with people with different backgrounds, so we expect strong collaboration skills. We are looking for someone with an open mind, the ability to take initiative, share views and fulfill existing solutions. You are also ready to work with diverse technologies and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Our team consists of data scientists, analytics engineers and data analysts. You get to work with exciting and ambitious projects. Our team will also be in close contact with ICT department and external consultants. 

Is this you?

• You have applicable higher university degree  

• You have experience with Python and SQL and some experience with version control 

• You have verbal and written communication skills in English 

• You have eligibility to work in Finland 

• You have strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills 

• You have ability to take initiative and be innovative 

Desirable

• Familiarity with Spark 

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI 

• Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA
