Analyst - pulp, paper, packaging

AFRY Management Consulting is a leading strategy and business advisor for bioindustry companies and value chain worldwide. In recent years we have enjoyed strong demand for our consulting services in relation to pulp and fibre-based packaging material and hence we are looking for an energetic and driven Analysts with a focus on these sectors.

You will work within international, multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of consultancy engagements for the leading pulp, paper and packaging companies globally. In our European office network, you will be preferrably based in Helsinki or Stockolm, while Munich and London may also be considered.

As an Analyst, your tasks will include:

  • Work as a team member in projects varying from market opportunity assessment, techno-economic analyses to projects in transaction cases and many more
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members throughout the project from idea generation, data analysis, to report preparation and formulating recommendations and conclusions
  • Participate in client meetings, often presenting the part of the work which you have been responsible for, and sometimes working side-by-side with clients
  • Contribute to the competence and offering development

Qualifications

The person we are looking for should have the following skills and capabilities:

  • University degree education, preferably M.Sc. in Engineering, Business or other relevant field, with good academic performance
  • True interest in business and market analysis in the pulp, paper, packaging industries
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills with capability to develop models
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and in an understandable manner
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Full fluency in English (oral and written) is a necessity, proficiency in any other language is a clear advantage
  • Excellent team work capabilities and communication skills; Willingness to work in a variety of different roles and across sectors.
  • Energy, drive and interest in pursuing a career as a consultant
  • Flexibility to travel and work abroad

To excel in this role, you are a result orientated self-starter, have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy being part of a team, work well under pressure, are keen to learn new and value variety in your work

In addition, we appreciate working experience in either biorefining/pulp/paper/tissue/packaging industries or relevant process areas such as financial analysis, due diligence, value chain optimisation, etc.
