BookBeat was founded in 2015 and is already one of Europe’s leading digital book services. Since then, our 500 000 paying users around Europe have made us and the books that we offer an essential part of their everyday life. In 2016, we launched in Finland and have from day one been the market leader on this market. From that day, our team has also had a significant impact on building a new and booming part of the Finnish book industry. With that being said, we're just in the beginning of our journey! As a next step of this journey, we want to strengthen our team with another superstar to our Finance team.
We are now looking for a Finnish-speaking Accountant who will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of our Finnish entity BookBeat Oy. You will play a central and important role in the company group's financial processes and will be a port of a fast growing company that aims for the stars. BookBeat is a part of Bonnier Group and has a continued exciting international journey ahead.
In the position Accountant - BookBeat Finland, you will work within an international team with more than a handful of wonderful and competent colleagues. You will be based in Helsinki and report to our Head of Accounting based in Stockholm.
Responsibility for accounting and reporting of the Finnish entity includes:
Qualifications and experience
You have a university degree in finance or economics, a solid track record within finance and have experience as an Accountant or an equivalent position for at least 5 years. It is meritorious if you have previous experience from an international fast growing and transaction intensive company where you have played an important part in the company's growth.
Through your previous work experience, you have created a deep understanding of the financial processes within a business and how important it is to have a good internal control to be able to streamline and automate financial processes. This position requires that you are a super user in Excel and have great communication skills, in both speech and writing, in Finnish and English (mastering Swedish as well is a plus). Furthermore, we are happy to see that you have previous experience of working in the accounting system Netsuite and might also have been involved in implementing or changing accounting system.
