ACCOUNT MANAGER

Vattenfall is looking for an Account Manager within the Business Area Customers & Solutions. The company has established and a leading position in Sweden and Finland within the client segment. Your role as an Account Manager focuses on further strengthening Vattenfall’s position being the partner of choice for their clients. Sustainability in electricity supply is a key divider for Industrial Production clients for the short- and long-term perspective. The team includes ten Account Managers in Sweden and Finland and this position reports to the Sales Manager and Head of Industrial Productions Clients Nordic. The location of this role is in Helsinki.

The main responsibility for the Account Manager is to grow and develop long term profitable commodity sales business and customer loyalty with the Nordic Industrial Production Client base. The overall goal is to manage client accounts by identifying and mapping customer needs, product offerings, contract negotiations, closing deals, most importantly, managing and developing the customer relationship. You will establish strategic partnerships with customers to further improve sustainability and reduce environmental footprints. In this role, you will be leading the customer team.

Our ideal candidate has a degree within Business Administration, Science, Finance or equivalent. However, the right personality and experience is crucial for this position. You are fluent in Finnish and communicate in English (verbally and written) as Vattenfall is an international company. Swedish is an advantage but not required.

To be successful as the Account Manager you will possess;

  • strong and demonstrated business acumen
  • documented experience from the electricity commodity business and B2B sales, or industries with complex instruments such as insurance or finance
  • genuine personal interest and experience in customers and their respective industry challenges
  • you are highly motivated to create the best value for our customers, to cooperate in a high-performance organization and you want to be a decisive part in shaping the future

The person we are looking for will also be business oriented and can combine strategic and commercial focus with operational capability. Your credibility is built through business insight and leadership, and you come across trustworthy and communicative. Creative thinking, solutions orientated with a strive to continuously develop and improve, is required.
