Our most requested program, GamePro, is once again here to train and recruit 20 new talents to the Finnish game industry. This is already the 12th GamePro program, and through the previous programs, over 200 people have found their dream jobs in gaming companies. If you have your eyes locked at game industry, you are definitely in the right place! There are many possibilities for different new talents, with different backgrounds.
GamePro is the gamechanger – plenty of possibilities in the game industry
GamePro F.E.C. program meets the ongoing demand by matching motivated future talents with growing businesses that have an increasing need for new professionals. Several companies in the Finnish game industry are looking for new talents through the program, and the aim of the program is to give you a chance to enter the Finnish game industry through training and on-the-job learning.
The duration of the program is six months and includes 20-25 training days held by game industry professionals. The main goal of the program is to get employed in the Finnish game industry at the end of the program. During the program, you will be able to develop into an expert through your new tasks, as well as increase your expertise by being trained by industry professionals.
Through the program, you can find your new role in the various game industry jobs, such as in game programming, game design, game art, QA or project management.
Above all, we are looking for motivation and enthusiasm of developing your professional skills. You don’t necessarily have to already be an expert in your field to apply – we’ll help you grow into your new role. Our goal is to find the role that best supports your background, interests and career development among several of our partner companies.
For game programming roles, we definitely want to hear more of you, if you have any of:
- background in programming by education (for example, master’s degree in engineering, suitable technical/commercial education)
- previous work history in developer/programming positions
- you have done your own programming projects, maybe even game project
For graphical roles, you will increase your success if you have any of:
- graphical art education
- previous work history in graphical positions
- your own portfolio to showcase your talent
Applicants are required to have sufficient proficiency in Finnish (B1.1) and good English, as well as strong motivation to develop their competence. You can apply to this recruiting training program if you are currently unemployed or facing the prospect of unemployment, and your job search is active at TE-palvelut. The program is free of charge for students.
GamePro is carried out in close co-operation with the ELY-keskus Uusimaa (Uusimaa Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment), TE-palvelut (Labor Exchange), Neogames and Saranen.

You will proceed in the application process once you have completed two forms:
1. Fill out the TE-palvelut application. Pre-selection for the training is made based on the information from the TE-palvelut application, so be sure to justify your application carefully. Education number: 708193
2. Fill out your skills profile to Saranen. This profile will be the first impression of your motivation and experience to the recruiting companies.
