The Academy suits both recent graduates at the start of their careers, and people with further work experience from the IT industry. Some background or understanding of statistics, data analysis, IT industry or software development is highly appreciated in the recruiting companies. Experience gained via cloud-related hobbies is also beneficial.

But the most important thing, is your desire to develop into an Azure expert, as well as your motivation to enhance your own professional skills. Thus, you don’t necessarily have to be an expert at the application stage – our objective is to find you a role that fits your background and career path the best possible way.

Through Microsoft Azure Academy, you can find yourself working, for example, as a:

The Academy suits both Finnish speakers and non-Finnish speakers. Fluent English is required, as the training will be carried out in English and the working language in most of the recruiting companies is also English.

You can apply to this recruiting training program if you are currently unemployed or facing the prospect of unemployment, and your job search at TE-palvelut or the local government pilot is active. Program is free of charge for participants. Microsoft Azure Academy is carried out in close co-operation with the ELY-keskus Uusimaa (Uusimaa Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment), TE-palvelut (Labor Exchange) and Saranen.

Applying for Microsoft Azure Academy requires submitting two applications:

1.) Official training application
This is the official application for the training and must therefore be filled carefully. In addition to your education and work experience, remember to describe your motivation. Preliminary selection will be based on this application, so carefully state the reasons for your application and let your motivation show.

2.) Saranen competency profile
This competency profile serves as your business card for recruiting companies. You can edit and complete your profile throughout the application process.
