Tietoa tehtävästä
Tokmanni's business is growing strongly and we are making significant investments in the development of IT operations. These and the other recruitments underway in our IT department are part of strengthening our future IT organization to take Tokmanni's digital business to a new level in a multichannel environment.
We want to help Mr. Tokmanni and his colleagues to ensure a smooth and multichannel customer experience in our department and online stores. We are now looking for a Data Warehousing and Master Data Management professional to join our Applications Services service area. You will be managing our data warehouse, ensuring data quality and overseeing master data governance.
Your key responsibilities
As a Data Warehousing and Master Data Management specialist, you will define and enforce data governance policies, design, implement and maintain the data warehouse architecture and centralize and manage critical master data (e.g. customer data, product data, supplier data) across the organization. You will optimize ETL processes, monitor performance, security and scalability as well as ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
In this role you will get to act as a single point of contact for incident, problem and change management related issues and work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders and several different service providers. In close collaboration with our business analysts and business units you aim to understand their demands and provide the desired solution, based on agreed governance and procedures.
Tokmanni acquires services and development work mainly from external service providers operating in Finland and in the Nordic countries and an important part of your job will be to guide service providers in these areas. Our operations are based on the ITIL reference model to a suitable extent, and we are actively working to develop our internal processes.
Guiding service providers includes the development of your responsibility area from definition through testing to production as well as ensuring the functionality of service management processes.
You will also participate in strategic projects as a representative of your own area of responsibility and act as a project manager in smaller projects.
You will be responsible for an important area of Tokmanni’s business, where you’ll have the opportunity to impact how things are done, aligning with your own vision. This job role does not include supervisory responsibility.
What do we expect from you?
You have minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Master Data Management. We expect you to have a strong understanding of data modelling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and database management as well as proficiency in SQL, data integration tools and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS). You are experienced in IT development tasks and project work. Previous experience with Azure Synapse -based solutions is considered as an advantage, as Azure Synapse is Tokmanni’s Data Warehousing solution. Familiarity and experience in Master Data Management concepts and tools helps you to succeed in this role.
You will be responsible for an area that is not fully defined, and we expect that you take us forward in our definition work and be our IT’s proactive problem solver and team player, who thrives in a dynamic retail environment.
You are familiar with today's IT development models and can work effectively with our suppliers and support our department in implementing modern development models. Your solid IT expertise enables you to engage fluently in technical discussions with suppliers and IT colleagues.
We also hope for:
• Passion for data quality and accuracy
• Systematic and analytical approach with attention to detail
• Desire to stay up to date with today's technologies and solutions
• Ability to operate flexibly in terms of both systems and operating methods in a changing and evolving environment and to tolerate the occasional uncertainty associated with the change process
• Ability to manage several things at the same time if necessary and to operate within tight schedules
• Desire to develop and maintain documentation of your responsibility area
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Fluent spoken and written English, Finnish language skills are beneficial
We are taking the first steps towards an international organization, and you have an opportunity to join us and challenge yourself in creating a more multilingual work environment. Therefore, knowledge of Finnish is not a prerequisite for success in the job. However, please note, that Tokmanni’s head office is located in Finland, and we work in hybrid work model.
