We are looking for a

Manager, Master Data Management (MDM)

to join our team in Helsinki. As a Manager, MDM you oversee, maintain and further develop master data in all Ahlstrom business information systems and their governance and business processes. You are responsible for driving MDM understanding in the company and have the ownership over the OneData MDM system. You will also oversee future planning of master data management; including new business information and new functionalities in the scope.

Your main responsibilities

As a Manager, MDM, your main tasks will include the following:

  • Take Ahlstrom MDM from development phase into operative mode. Ensure that the new process is accepted and understood and its implementation is followed up
  • Manage the communication and build awareness of the process and its developments throughout the organization
  • Develop MDM support model and its resourcing
  • Manage and/or participate in implementation of new business information in MDM. Participate in planning and implementation of future functionalities
  • Ensure that Ahlstrom MDM provides a good service and support for business needs
  • Develop and oversee that suitable MDM training is given for Ahlstrom employees
  • Participate in developing Ahlstrom data architecture and data integration concepts
  • Facilitate the responding governance groups and the meetings
  • Participate in the process development of the corresponding business information areas
  • Responsible for the customer process and other relevant MDM domain specific business processes
  • Ensure data quality metrics are being followed

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or science or an equivalent combination of education and experience gained
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business processes and/or IT applications
  • Capable of developing close working relationships at all levels of the organisztion in various different cultures
  • Proven track record on project management
  • Good customer service orientation
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral. Other language skills are seen as an advantage.
  • Experience in incident response procedures
